2017 NISSAN GT-R: PRECISION CRAFTSMANSHIP IN EVERY ENGINE
March 23, 2016 by NissanNEW YORK – A hand-built 3.8L twin-turbo V6 lies at the heart of every Nissan GT-R. Each engine in the 2017 GT-R is assembled by one of five master craftsman – we call them Takumi – at Nissan's plant in Yokohama, Japan. This is story about what it takes to become a Nissan Takumi and their remarkable skill of precision craftsmanship unparalleled by man or machine. The new 2017 GT-R takes center stage of the Nissan booth at the New York International Auto Show. Live demonstrations from the Takumi will take place through press days, on March 23 and 24.
