Jeep UK has partnered with the mobility charity, Wings for Life, for its global race, Wings for Life World Run, in Cambridge on 8th May.

The 4x4 brand will provide the all-important Catcher Car which will set off 30 minutes after participants and drive at 15km/h. A competitor's run is over when the car passes by them, and the race continues until the last runner is caught. The last competitor to be caught over the 100 km course is crowned global winner.

Big wave surfer, Andrew Cotton, and Olympic snowboarder, Aimee Fuller, both Jeep ambassadors, will be taking part alongside competitors.

Wings for Life World Run began in 2014 and takes place in 34 locations worldwide. All 34 races will start at the same time across the globe – 12:00 BST – with Cambridge hosting the UK. One hundred percent of the Wings for Life World Run entry fees and fundraising from this global running event will help work towards Wings for Life's ultimate goal.

Damien Dally, Head of Brand, Jeep UK, said: 'We are excited to be able to partner with such a unique and important charity as Wings for Life. Jeep vehicles are fit for drivers of varying physical capabilities and so we are proud to partner with a charity which aims to get the whole world moving. We want to wish all the participants the very best of luck as they try to outrun the Jeep Catcher Car. The ever popular Jeep Renegade has seen sales soar as more and more motability customers are getting behind the wheel of the Jeep Renegade and enjoying the benefits of worry free motoring.'
