McLaren Returns To Monterey Car Week And The Pebble Beach Concours d'Elegance By: McLaren

McLaren Automotive returns to Monterey Car Week with an array of activities taking place throughout the Monterey Peninsula from August 17-20. Allowing enthusiasts, customers and prospects alike the opportunity to interact with the McLaren brand, the two newest McLaren models, the 720S and 570S Spider, will be featured throughout many of the events.
The McLaren Experience atthe Bernardus Lodge & Spa will be open to the public on Thursday, Friday and Saturday, August 17-19 from 8:00a.m.- 6:00p.m. Hosted by Bruce McLaren's daughter, Amanda, the experience will introduce visitors to the Bruce McLaren ethos of using technology to deliver the best possible results and how this relates to road cars built today. McLaren vehicles on display will include a 720S;the MSO 720S 'Velocity'that appeared at the Geneva International Motor Show earlier this year; a prototype of the famous F1 road car and the historic M6A. Customers who have booked in advance through a McLaren retailer can test drive the 570GT and all-new 570S Spider throughout the weekend. McLaren's 3D Configurator and a Virtual Reality experience will also be available for visitors to enjoy.
On Thursday, August 17 at 1:00p.m., McLaren owners participating in a rally drive from Napa County to Carmel will have the special opportunity to drive several parade laps on the famed Mazda Raceway circuit. McLaren Automotive CEO Mike Flewitt and wife Mia will host McLaren owners at the track on Saturday, August 19 during the Rolex Monterey Motorsports Reunion.
An exclusive screening of the film, McLaren , will take place at the Golden State Theatre in downtown Monterey on Friday, August 18 at 8:30p.m. The film tells the story of Bruce McLaren, the New Zealander who founded the McLaren Motor Racing team. Tickets are available for purchase online.
The culmination of Monterey Car Week is Sunday, August 20 at the Pebble Beach Concours d'Elegance, andMcLaren will continue its tradition of offering exclusive hospitality as well as having a presence on the Concept Lawn, this year with a very special McLaren 720S by McLaren Special Operations. The McLaren Brand Center, which is located on the 18th fairway, will display a McLaren 720S and 570S Spider, and light catering will be served. Tickets are required to enter the McLaren Brand Center and should be purchased in advance through a McLaren retailer.
