A low mileage example of the cult classic Audi Quattro Turbo, the car that changed the world of rallying in the eighties, has been announced as part of Classic Car Auctions' (CCA) upcoming September Sale to be held at the Warwickshire Exhibition Centre on 23rd September.

Reading just 32,233 miles from new, the 1991 20 V example is an original, UK supplied car in right-hand drive with just two former owners in addition to the current vendor, credentials which even further accelerate the appeal of the collectible, modern classic.

This particular example in Tornado Red is in excellent condition coming from 13 years of long-term private ownership. With the exterior presenting in first class condition, the interior is also pristine and completely original.

As one of the later Quattro models, the 20 V features the three spoke steering wheel design, leather covered door arm rests, gloveboxes, centre console, door pockets and partial leather seats with 'quattro' script upholstery. It also retains its original radio cassette player.

This exemplary example of the model is expected to achieve between £35,000 and £40,000 when it is offered at auction.

'These last of the line Quattros are by far the best to drive, and by some margin are the quickest of all. They're also worth the most and have a great motorsport heritage,' comments Richard Greenhalgh, classic car specialist, CCA.

A rallying icon of the 1980s due to its outstanding four wheel drive capabilities, the Quattro 20 V also offers superb performance, producing 200bhp with a turbocharged, intercooled five cylinder engine capable of achieving 0-60mph in 7.1 secs and a top speed of around 140mph.

'Finding an original 20 V Quattro is hard enough in the current marketplace, but one with low mileage is a truly special proposition. With world rally winning pedigree and a growing cult status, the demand for low-mileage Quattros is surely going to increase for many years to come.'

The car will be offered at auction with an MoT until July 2018, issued with no advisories.
