TRAVIS PASTRANA TO COMPETE IN RED BULL GLOBAL RALLYCROSS LOS ANGELES

SANTA MONICA, CA (September 10, 2014) – Next weekend in Los Angeles, Travis Pastrana will remind the world that he is the action sports world's leading renaissance man. Pastrana is set to compete in Red Bull Global Rallycross Los Angeles, to be held September 19-21 at the Port of Los Angeles in San Pedro.

At Red Bull Global Rallycross, the 10-year rally car veteran will race a 600hp Vermont SportsCar-prepared 2014 Subaru WRX STI as a guest entry by Subaru Rally Team USA, which Pastrana drives for in the Rally America Championship series. This will be the second time Pastrana has raced in Red Bull Global Rallycross this year, after participating in the second race of the series in Austin in June.

Pastrana has 12 career starts in Red Bull GRC events, taking a victory in New Hampshire in July 2012 and another podium in Las Vegas last November. The event will mark Pastrana's return to the Los Angeles waterfront; in 2009, as part of Red Bull's New Year No Limits event, he jumped a similarly prepared Subaru WRX STI 269 feet across the water, setting a world record for the longest jump by a car.
