More than 1,000 cars from the Prancing Horse will take part in a record-breaking event this weekend: a parade on the legendary Silverstone circuit for an entry in the Guinness Book of Records.
Felipe Massa will start the exceptional parade behind the wheel of a 458 Spider. With this caravan, Ferrari has the ambitious goal to more than double the number of cars of the previous record when 490 cars came to the race track in Fuji for a parade in 2008.
The event, with the important collaboration of the British Ferrari Owners' Club, will be held on the occasion of the Ferrari Racing Days and will involve fundraising: for every car, which takes part in the parade, Ferrari will donate 5 Pounds to 'BEN', the UK's dedicated charity for those who work, or have worked, in the automotive and related industries, as well as their families.
The event will host, moreover, the Ferrari Challenge Trofeo Pirelli Europe, as well as some sessions dedicated to historical one-seaters run by the F1 Clienti department and the exclusive Ferrari FXX and 599XX. The key moment on Sunday comes when Marc Gene, a special coach to drivers in the F1 Clienti programmes, takes to the English track at the wheel of an F60.
