1965 Alfa Romeo Giulia Series 105 GT Coupe

1965 was the last year for the 105-series Giulia Sprint GT. Its production began two years earlier in the newly opened factory at Arese and not at the 'in-town' Portello works of old. Bertone designed the body, the first ones of which had the iconic 'step' in the hood – scalino - sitting it above the nose of the car. The motor was Alfa's familiar aluminum 4-cylinder twin cam now out to 1570cc mated to an all-synchro 5-speed transmission. They had Dunlop disc brakes and an over-complicated rear setup. Top speed was quoted at 112 mph.
