This Ferrari 410 Superamerica is a Series III iteration powered by a 4.9-liter, 400 horsepower, race-derived, Lampredi V-12 engine. It was completed in May of 1959 and was the 25th 410 Superamerica built and the 4th of 12 Series III models built. It has several special features including the competition-style covered headlamps, as well as unique rear fenders with one-off taillights. It is finished in the color scheme of Nero Tropicale over Naturale leather.

The car was sold through the official Swiss Ferrari dealer Garage de Montchoisy SA of Geneva to Mr. Griffin, an American residing in the city at the time. The car was later stored for several years in a Geneva parking garage before coming into the care of its second owner, Hans U. Maag of Renens, in 1970. Shortly thereafter it was sold through Rob de la Rive Box to Richard Merritt, then to Tom Viltner of Oconomowoc, Wisconsin, and in 1976 to John Hajduk of Chicago.

The car was given a full restoration and completed in British Racing Green with yellow striping, the same color it wears today. Afterwards it was sold to John Vernon of Vail, Colorado.

Peter van Gerbig of Hillsborough, California purchased the car in 1978. It remained with Mr. van Gerbig for four years before selling it to George and Rosella Wamser of Bloomington, Illinois. The car remained with them for nearly two decades, during which time it was regularly used and seen at Midwestern FCA meets.

Dennis Machul owned the car for a short period of time before joining the collection of its present owners in the late 1990s and has remained largely out of sight ever since. It retains its original numbers-matching engine and chassis, as well as the original gearbox and rear axle. Currently, the car has 57,305 miles on its odometer.
