1973 Porsche 911 RS Carrera Carrera RS Lightweight

Of the 1,580 Carrera RS's created, this is one of only 200, M471 optioned RS Lightweights produced. 911 360 1193 left the Zuffenhausen factory in April 1973 and was delivered new to Italy in May 1973 and lived its early years racing in local competitions. By 1995, the retired race car was owned by French Collector, Jean-Claude Miloe (through his race team, Ecole Competition) who commissioned the Porsche factory in Zuffenhausen to perform a comprehensive restoration, including factory replacement of the well-worn motor with a matching factory re-stamped engine. The Porsche factory restoration is detailed with over 10 pages of invoices and totals over 75,000 Deutsch Marks (equivalent to almost 100,000 USD in 2022). Paul Tholly of Saint-Étienne, France next acquired the car and it remained in that area for the next two decades under the stewardship of: Mr. Tholly, (acquired February 15, 1996); Xavier Ravon, proprietor of the local Mercedes dealership (acquired October 31, 2000); Jacques Souvignet, (acquired November 24, 2005); Marc Blanc (acquired 2013). In 2014, the car passed into the ownership of Marseille-based collector and dealer Jean Guikas, who along with his daughter, Camille, are proprietors of GTC. In June 2015, Mr. Guikas listed the car for sale and eventually sent the car to the US where it sold in August 2015. The car was housed and maintained at Driver Source Houston from shortly after its sale until May 2022. After an extensive search, 1973 Carrera RS collector Charles Harris of Tampa, Florida acquired 911 360 1193 and commissioned marque specialist Klub Sport Racing of West Palm Beach, Florida to refresh the car mechanically and cosmetically.

Engine
The original engine was replaced with a correct restamped engine during the car's 1995 restoration at the factory in Zuffenhausen. The The 2.7 liter Type 911/83 engine features Bosch mechanical fuel injection and produces 210 hp at 6,300 rpm.
