June 2000AddThis Social Bookmark Button

Every first full weekend of June in Wellsboro, PA begins a long enduring race of approximately 80 vehicles. This SCCA sponsored event allows spectators to view a number of stages at different times throughout the day. The course begins at The Green in Wellsboro on Saturday morning at 10:30 a.m. and takes about 14 hours to complete. Competitors cover a total of 315 miles, including 145 competitive miles in 10 stages. Rally teams travel through two counties on generally smooth and twisty Pennsylvania State Forest roads, at times bordering the famous Grand Canyon of the East located 10 miles west of Wellsboro. All vehicles are sent out in 1-2 minute increments. Since there is not a limit on speed, some cars will reach 100+MPH. James McMullen & Kyle McMullen
