The Special Vehicle Team Owners Association (SVTOA) is a club designed specifically for SVT owners. The club provides opportunities to get out and drive (road trips, cruise nights, track days, etc.) with other SVT owners; Promoting learning and education about automobiles and good driving; and Making new friends and sharing common experiences with other like-minded people.
This week the SVOTA was at Summit Point, WV on the Jefferson Track. The day was extremely rainy which made it very fun for spectators. Sharp turns, American horsepower, rear wheel drive, and enthusiastic drivers made for quite a few spin-outs. In order to keep the cars from breaking loose around the corners, the drivers had to keep their vehicles at painfully slow speeds. Once the turn ended and the straight stretch began, the cars took off. I really don't know which was more fun: Hearing the throaty exhausts or watching them accelerate?!
