This speed record setting Toyota Prius went over 130 mph making it the first production hybrid car to race across the Bonneville Salt Flats.

This car is powered by a four-cylinder gasoline engine displacing 1.5-liters. It has DOHC 16-valves with EFI, VVT-i, aluminum-alloy block and head. The gasoline engine produces 96 horsepower and 97 footpounds of torque. The Electric Motor/Generator/Power Storage is a Permanent Magnet Synchronous Motor Electric that produces 50 kw of power and 295 foot-pounds of torque.
