There was a single convertible built by Carrozzeria Boano on the 250 GT long wheelbase chassis and it wears chassis number 0461GT. In total, Boano constructed 74 bodies for the 250 GT. 0461GT was sold to Bob Lee in 1956 straight from the New York Auto Show floor. It was purchased for $9,500 which was far below the vehicles value. The car still remains in Bob Lee's possession making it one of the oldest Ferrari's to retain its original owners possession.
