1957 Maserati 200 SIMaserati produced 32 Model 200Si's between 1955 and 1958. This example, chassis number 2423, was produced on June 13th of 1957.

Joe Sheppard raced this Maserati 200SI in the 1957-1959 SCCA races in Florida and the East Coast, and then stored it away for many years after a full factory rebuild.

In 1978, the car was sold by Joe Marchetti to Bob Fergus. It was cared for by several more owners throughout the years, until it was purchased in 2004 by its current owner, who has raced it in many vintage events. The owner won the Ferrari Historic Challenge in 2007 with his Maserati, which regularly finished in the front of the pack. More recently, chassis number 2423 was raced at the Monterey Historics, the Coronado Speed Festival (where it was awarded Best in Class) and the Ferrari Challenge event at Cavallino in January of 2010.
