1968 Shelby Mustang GT500 KRThe father of the current owner found this 1968 Shelby for sale in an Orlando newspaper in 1975, like new and with extremely low miles, for $2,000. The car served as his mother's daily driver until it was placed in storage in 1978. This GT500KR (King of the Road) is powered by a 428 cubic-inch, V8 engine, developing 335 horsepower and is capable of zero-to-sixty miles per hour in 6.0 seconds and the quarter mile in 14.3 seconds or 100 mph. This 3,200 pound car rides on a 108 inch wheelbase and sold or $4,473 when new. In total, there were 1,251 examples of the GT500KR produced.

A complete restoration was completed by Lloyd's Auto Restoration in Bartow, Florida in 2011.
