This particular example is fitted with the desirable, yet rarely selected, air conditioning system. It is powered by a Ford 351 cubic-inch Cleveland V8 powerplant mated to a four-speed manual transmission. The engine features custom valve covers, an Edelbrock 650cfm 4V carburetors and Edelbrock Performer intake manifold. There are vintage Magnum 500 wheels on all four corners and the body is finished in Russo paint.

This car is another exciting and excellent example of European style with American power. There were 376 Italia coupes and convertibles built making them a rare treasure.

This 1971 Intermeccanica Italia Spyder was brought to the Vintage Motor Cars sale at Hershey, PA presented by RM Auctions. It was estimated to sell for $50,000 - $70,000 and was offered without reserve. The lot was sold for a high bid of $44,000.
