Ferrari 400 Superamerica with chassis number 1885SA is a Series 1, short wheelbase cabriolet vehicle constructed during 1960. It is a left hand drive vehicle that was purchased with a hardtop and open headlights. The coachwork constructed was completed by Pinin Farina.
The first owner took possession of the vehicle in June of 1960. Since that time it has been converted to a right-hand drive vehicle. A few years later it was converted back to the left-hand drive configuration.
It has had several owners since new, mostly those residing in the United States. In 1996 it was treated to a very thorough and complete restoration by Alberto Pedretti which cost its owner $450,000 to complete. The car is currently in the care of Jeffrey Mamorsky who purchased the car in 2000, or around that time. It is seen here at the 2007 Cavallino Classic.
