This 1972 Mirage M6 was designed by Len Bailey. It is a monocoque design of aluminum alloy bonded and riveted to steel bulkheads. Suspension is a double adjustable independent coil over shock design with Koni dampers. Adjustable tubular anti-roll bars are fitted front and rear. Lockheed 4-pot alloy calipers with vented rotors are employed. The gearbox is a Hewland 5-speed DG 300, although a ZF was used at LeMans. Wheels were of JWA design.

The M6 first appeared at Sebring, the third event of the 1972 season, with the dependable Cosworth DFV engine. This V8 power plant of cast aluminum alloy produced 445 horsepower at 10,500 rpms. Lucas CD ignition and fuel injection were part of the package. Total vehicle weight was 1,624 pounds (750 kilos). This car is the last of five M6 Mirages, chassis number M6/300/605. It was built in March 1973 by JW Automotive Engineering in Slough, England.
