    1959 Bandini FJBandini #54 is the 3rd of 7 Bandini Formula Jr's produced in the late 1950's. The Bandini Formula Junior was produced in Flori, Italy. The body is alloy hand-formed and rests on an elliptical tube chassis. Bandini's were imported into the United States by Martin Beiner of Biener Imported Cars of Great Neck, New York.

    The car has raced on the East Coast, though the drivers are unknown. Previous owners include Joel Finn and Michael T. Lynch. The car has just completed a very long and extensive restoration and is now ready for vintage racing. It is seen here at the 2006 Monterey Historic Races at Laguna Seca.

    This 1959 Bandini Formula Jr. is powered by a four-cylinder engine capable of producing 90 horsepower. It has a four-speed manual gearbox, Borrani wire wheels, and Dunlop racing tires.

    This Formula Junior encompasses a hand-formed aluminum body, de Dion rear suspension, quick change differential, and is based on the 1100 Fiat power train, engine, and transmission.

    Overall, the car displays outstanding Italian craftsmanship, design and engineering.
