This 1960 Cooper T-53 ran the Grand Prix circuit in 1960 and 1961. In 1960, driven by Bruce McLaren, races included: Monaco Grand Prix (2nd) Dutch GP Zandvoort (DNF), Belgian GP Spa (2nd), French GP Reims (3rd), British GP Silverstone (4th) Silver City Trophy Bands Hatch (3rd), Portuguese GP Oporto (2nd), Gold Cup Oulton Park (4th), and the US GP at Riverside (3rd).

In 1961, driven by Jack Brabham, it participated in the following races: Lombank Trophy Snetterton (1st), Pau GP (DNF), Brussells GP (1st in heats 2,3), Solitude GP Stuttgart (5th), Karlskoga Kannonloppet (DNF), Danish GP Roskilde, Modena GP (5th), Flugplatzennen Zeltweg (2nd).
