The Sunbeam Alpine convertible is a third-owner, original, unrestored car, painted red over black; it is a Series IV car. The Alpine was introduced in 1959. The Alpine IV replaced the MK III in 1964. It had revised rear styling, with smaller tail fins. The GT and Roadster shared the 82 horsepower, 1.6-liter engine, which had a single Solex carburetor. It could be specified with an optional overdrive or automatic gearbox, but the automatic was not popular and was dropped for the Series V, which appeared in 1964.
