This V.A.Y. Special had an impressive racing career powered by a 918cc engine. Currently, it is powered by a 948cc A-series engine. Drum brakes are at all four corners and the car rides on Dunlop racing tires.

It won 24 victories during the 1958 and 1959 season in the Canadian Class. It was also raced in Formula Junior competition.

Many of the mechanical components are from British Cars. The design is rather unusual, with open wheels and a round, aerodynamically smooth body.
