Near the end of the 308's life, Ferrari introduced four-valve heads to the V8 in its most popular car and dubbed it the Quattrovalvole. This was the first production Ferrari to be so equipped, and it gave the 308 a noticeable performance boost. This and other revisions increased horsepower to 230 for U.S.-spec cars. A red intake box made it easy to spot one of these Tipo F105 AB engines. The 308 QV rivaled the performance of the earlier carbureted, fiberglass-bodied 308s and was capable of running to 60 mph in about 6 seconds with a top speed over 150 mph.Also photographed at :
