The Porsche 911 Carrera Speedster has a cut-down windshield and emergency-only top. Styling chief Tony Lapine transported a number of the old 356 styling cues to a limited production model, which sold for a hefty premium. Priced at $65,000, it was $12,000 more than the Targa.
In total, Porsche produced 2,065 Speedsters with only 824 making their way to the United States. Most were given the 'turbo-look' wide body.
