I accidentally stumbled onto this little gathering of hot rods. It was actually at a house being displayed on someones front yard. I asked the owners if they would mind if I take a few photos and they said it would be fine.

Day two of the Zippo U.S. Vintage Grand Prix of Watkins Glen was amazing! This day featured final rounds of qualifying for all 11 groups as well as afternoons races. Mid-day festivities included a special parade lap of old Mark Donohue cars and fans had a special treat with two of them being driven by David and Don Donohue, sons of the former champion. Also on hand were a half-a-dozen key people involved in Mark Donohues career and fans had an opportunity to interact with them during a Q&A in the Pit Terrace Grand Stands. The WOTSRA was started in 1977 in the Lehigh Valley area of Pennsylvania by a small group of street rodders that had been 'Hot Rodders' back in the years when that term was used. They felt there was a need for an organization to promote Street Rodding in the Lehigh Valley. They started small, meeting in garages of members and gaining members as time went on. The 3 day Rod & Custom Jamboree (with over 2200 of the finest modified cars on the East Coast) that takes place each August in Macungie Memorial Park was originally a one day 'Run To The Grove' in Alburtis, PA. It has grown over the years to the fantastic show it is today. The clubs membership has grown accordingly. Our membership is over 100 men and women, all with the same ideals and interests. These ideals are the promotion and development of 'Street Rodding' activities in the Lehigh Valley area and beyond. Through our efforts we help encourage the development of Street Rodding and encourage safe and organized Street Rodding wherever we go. Thanks to mike for show coverage.

The overall philosophy of BMW CCA Club Racing is to offer all BMW CCA licensed club racers a competitive driving experience conducted in a fun, safe, and friendly environment on a reasonably level, class-based playing field for all types of factory authorized or constructed BMWs. The primary emphasis is on clean driving and machinery preservation. The STOCK class is intended for those cars typically seen at drivers' schools owned by an enthusiast who has done simple modifications to improve the basic performance of a stock, street driven BMW. The PREPARED class is intended to invite vehicles prepared for SCCA Improved Touring competition into BMW CCA Club Racing.

Once again pit stop strategy was the major factor in determining the winner of a NASCAR Winston Cup Race. This time it was Robby Gordon who benefited from good timing to win the 18th SIRIUS at The Glen at Watkins Glen International. Road course expert Scott Pruett finished second in his No. 39 Target Dodge after starting the race 28th. Dale Earnhardt Jr. (No. 8 Budweiser Chevrolet), Jimmie Johnson (No. 48 Lowe's Chevrolet) and Kevin Harvick (No. 29 GM Goodwrench Chevrolet) rounded out the top five. - SIRIUS At The Glen - Results Gordon, who won earlier at Infineon Raceway in June, began the day in 14th and drove his No. 31 Cingular Wireless Chrevrolet inside the top ten throughout the first half of the race (45 laps). The key to the victory came as he was preparing to turn onto the frontstretch at the end of lap 51.

This week they battled it out on the 3/4 mile oval track at the Richmond International Raceway. Car number 19, driven by Dave Steele, took the checkered flag winning almost $16,000. Second place went to car number 67, driven by Aaron Fike.
This is an exciting race to watch because of the number of vehicles on such a small track. Lots can happen, and usually does.
The only thing that could stop Scott Dixon during the SunTrust Indy Challenge was rain. Dixon led every lap before a heavy thunderstorm arrived June 27 at Richmond International Raceway and forced the race to end after 206 of 250 scheduled laps on the ¾-mile oval. It was the first time in IRL IndyCarÔ Series history that a driver has led every lap of a race. It was the third victory of the season for Dixon in the No. 9 Target Chip Ganassi Racing Panoz G Force/Toyota/Firestone and his second in a row. No other driver has won more than once this season.

14th Annual Rod Run. Pre 1973 rods, customs, antiques and street machines.
Zero to 200+ miles per hour in a quarter of a mile is just some of the excitement at this weekends NIPO event. The cars were fast, the ladies were gorgeous, and the show cars were amazing. Time and effort went into ever piece of art that was on display.
This weekends event was home to quarter mile races, burn out contests, bikini contests, foam parties, concerts, car shows, hydralic contests, and car audio competition. So much to do and see.
On June the 14th of 2003, Macungie PA welcomed the long awaited ATCA Antique Truck Show (along with the warm weather). ATCA is an 'organization of persons who own, or have an interest in, antique commercial vehicles and who wish to promote the preservation, restoration, operation and history of antique commercial vehicles'. The truck show consisted of over 400 trucks, live music, food stands & over 200 flea market spaces.
The 2003 STPR, as always, was an amazing event. Despite the rainy weather, canceled stages, and muddy conditions (we had to hike about 2 miles to make it to the spectator areas) we had a blast! We were a little worried that the recent death of a spectator at another SCCA Rally event a few weeks ago was going to limit the spectator viewing areas, and we were right. It made it harder to get to where we were going, and harder to see due to tighter rules and regulations, but as that first car went past at break-neck speeds out mouths dropped. These cars are amazing and they take a beating on these courses. Its amazing how fast these drivers are able to maneuver their vehicles in any condition that is presented to them. The night rally, in my opinion, is a true test of skill and insanity. Before you ever see the bouncing lights of the vehicles, you hear the vehicles engine as it is quickly shifted through all its gears. The bright lights follow the noise quickly. At what seems like an eternity, the car finally catches up with the noise and the lights. A whirl wind and a blur is all that is left as it streaks past. Another minute or two goes past before the dirt begins to settle. I envy the drivers, workers, and mechanics. To me, there would be nothing more blissfully then being able to challenge yourself and the car on these roads.

Wow! Thats the best way to describe it. Last year it was like a new car lot in a church basement. This year it was in a convention center with plenty of room to walk and enjoy the vehicles. There was lot to see, do and enjoy. A domestic and import section was very exciting. People have done lots to restore or improve upon their vehicles and it was much appreciated by all the spectators. Maserati and Ferrari showed up. Thank you! The dodge sidewinder was my favorite concept car at the show. The imaj, pacifica, commander, grand prix, (to name a few) were some of the highlights from the show.

Once again, a great show. I didnt have time to enjoy it, but I was able to make it through the entire place and take photos of many of vehicles. The show was at the Baltimore Convention Center and spanned all three floors. The concepts at this show were the Lincon Continental, Jeep PowerWagon, cadillac XLR, and the Chevy BelAire. The show also featured modified import cars as well as a few classic corvettes. (Many of which were also at the Harrisburg auto show). {Better location and lighting means better photos though).

Harrisburg, the capital of Pennsylvania, held their annual vehicle and boat show. It consisted of production, classic, concept and super vehicles as well as a wide assortment of boats, personal water crafts, modified imports, vintage race cars, and enthsiast-collectors vehicles.
