Motoramas were auto shows used by GM to showcase their new and exciting vehicles. The Motoramas were held during 1949 through 1961 in which a total of eight events were staged.
The shows featured futuristic vehicles that gave glimpses of things to come. One exciting vehicle was the Corvette, shown on January 17th, 1953 at the Waldorf Astoria hotel in New York City. These events and the vehicles attracted lots of people and press. It helped jumpstart the American Automobile industry after WWII.
