A.C. Barley, who had manufactured the Halladay Automobile in Streator, IL, built the stylish Roamer in Kalamazoo from 1917 to 1930. Roamer marketed their cars as the 'affordable Rolls-Royce,' and even copied its competitor's distinctive radiator shell and riveted hood.

Powered by a Rochester-Duesenberg engine, a similar Roamer Roadster set a Daytona Beach record at 105.1 mph in 1921.
