1960 Sadler MK5 Sports Roadster

  • Chassis Number: 001
This is a very early (perhaps the first) mid-engined sports racing car to be fitted with an American V-8 engine, in this case, a Chevrolet small-block V-8. (Sadler's first mid-engine race car was the Sadler Formula Libre).

The 1960/61 Sadler MK5, built in Ontario, Canada, by Bill Sadler, is considered to be the prototype for the 'Can-Am' racecars that came 4 or 5 years later.

This car raced at Sebring Raceway In February 2005.
