1974 Porsche 911 RSR Turbo 2.1 Coupe

    1974 Porsche 911 'Baby Turbo'

In 1974 this car started what would become a long string of turbocharged 911 based racecars. With radical new aerodynamics, Martini sponsorship and a 2.1 liter 500 horsepower flat six-cylinder engine, the factory campaigned two of these cars in the World Manufacturers Championship races around the globe. This car and its sister were serviced by Al Holbert at Holbert's Porsche in the summer of 1974 after the 6 Hours of Watkins Glen. It is all original and has never been restored and appears just as it did when the factory stopped racing it in 1975. Before being acquired by Matt Drendel, it belonged to Bill Jackson for almost 30 years.
