1970 Toyota Land Cruiser FJ 40 SUV

Throughout the production lifespan of the Toyota Land Cruiser, lasting from the 1950s to 1984, it was constantly improved while managing to keep its shape and feel. Toyota first developed the BJ Series in 1951 at the request of the United States military. Series production began in 1953; beginning in 1954, the Land Cruiser name appeared starting with the Series 20 introduced in 1954 and the Series 40 in 1960. The United States began receiving them in 1963.

The Land Cruiser was available in several different wheelbase lengths and differently configured body styles, along with various diesel and gasoline engine options.

This is a 1970 FJ-40 Land Cruiser, the 'F' denoting the F-series 237/125 HP inline-6 engine and 'J-40' signifying the model and body configuration. It has been given a body-off restoration and has been refinished in Helios Red and comes with a White hardtop, White painted wheels, White grille and headlight surround and both driver and passenger side mirrors. The exposed frame is painted Black and the bumpers are polished and left unpainted. The interior features rear folding jump seats in the cargo area. The interior is red with gray seats, gray door inserts and a refinished dash. It has power brakes, a heater, a straight-6 engine, 3-speed manual transmission, and a column-mounted shifter.
