The Cadillac Series 75 was introduced in 1936 as the top-of-the-line V8 model, positioned a step above the Series 60 line. Initially, it was available with both Fisher and Fleetwood bodies. By 1938, the only bodies available were the high-end Fleetwood examples.
The 1937 version differed only slightly with subtle details being updated over its 1936 version. Noticeably, the egg crate grill coordinates well with the new streamlined hood sides. Power was from the 346 cubic-inch monobloc V8 which offered 140 horsepower, providing plenty of power to carry the stately and luxurious Series 75.
This particular Town Sedan was used regularly until a few years ago. Its touring sedan coachwork features side mounts on the long wheelbase chassis. It is finished in dark blue over tan broadcloth and finished with white wall tires. It wears an older but good-quality restoration that has held up well over the years.By Daniel Vaughan | Jun 2017
