This 1967 McLaren M1C has chassis #40/04 and is one of about 24 cars built to compete in the Can-Am Series. The car was delivered new to Skip Scott/Carl Haas and was sponsored by Drummond Racing. Scott's teammate for that year was Charlie Parson.
The car is powered by a 355 cubic inch Chevy small block engine with 4 48 IDA Weber carburetors on a McKay magnesium manifold, with Crower roller cam/rockers, aluminum flywheel with Tilton metallic clutch, Carrello rods, reworked 202 heads, Mallory dual point distributor, Hewland LG500 transaxle and was dynoed at 520 horsepower. A two-year restoration was completed in 2000.
