The 1961 Aston Martin DB4 GT finished in dark red 'Peony' factory color was offered for sale at the 2006 RM Auction in Monterey, Ca where it was expected to sell between $750,000-$950,000. It departed from the works factory on March 23rd of 1960. Its first owner was a Georges A Adlivankine. In 1981 it competed in the Monterey Historic Races where it placed 15th. In 1989 the car was invited to race in the Grand Touring race at the Monterey Historic Races at Laguna Seca Raceway. Throughout outs lifespan, it has passed through a number of owners.
