Mercedes-Benz Reports Q3 Sales Of 69,631 Vehicles
October 7, 2020 by Mercedes-BenzMercedes-Benz USA (MBUSA) today reported Q3 sales of 69,631 Mercedes-Benz units. Additionally, Mercedes-Benz Vans recorded Q3 sales of 15,491, bringing MBUSA to a grand total of 85,122 vehicles for the quarter, a decrease of 5% over the comparable period last year. 'We are well positioned to take advantage of the natural market gravitation to SUVs, and our new GLA and GLB build upon the consistent performance established by the, GLE and GLS models,' said Drew Slaven, VP Marketing of MBUSA and acting Head of MS MBC North America. 'Despite of some ongoing challenges in the third quarter, our dealer partners did an outstanding job to maintain our momentum while providing a world-class exceptional service for our customers.' Mercedes-Benz volume leaders in Q3 included the GLC, GLE and GLA model lines. The GLC led totals with 11.428 units followed by GLE with sales of 10,858. GLA rounded out the top three with 8,712 units. Q3 sales of Mercedes-AMG high-performance models totaled 9,116 units (+35%) with 22,951vehicles sold year-to-date (-8.1%). Separately, Mercedes-Benz Certified Pre-Owned (MBCPO) models recorded sales of 34,999 vehicles during the third quarter of 2020, an increase of 5.1% over Q3 2019. On a year-to-date basis, MBCPO sold 95,769 vehicles, a decrease of 1.9% compared to the same period last year.
