| 1959 Jaguar XK 150 OTS Roadster Chassis Num: S831839DN (No reserve) The standard engine that was carried over from the XK140 was the 3.4 litre DOHC Jaguar XK6 rated at 180bhp at 5750 rpm. However, most cars were fitted with the 'red-head' engine whose modified cylinder head with larger exhaust valves rated at 210bhp at 5500 rpm. Standard engines sported twin 1.75' SU HD6 carburettors, but by 1958 the S model's unique trio of 2' SU HD8 carburettors feeding a straight port cylinder head giving a claimed 250bhp. During 1959, engine capacity increased to 3.8 liters by increasing the bore. Claimed output was now 220bhp for the standard and 265bhp for the S version. As a necessity for all this performance, four-wheel disc brakes appeared for the first time, although it was theoretically possible to order a car with drums.
