1989 Porsche 911 Turbo Type 930 Coupe

For 1989, the K-program Type 930 Turbo was Porsche's most powerful 911. Power was from a 3.3-liter engine developing 282 horsepower and offering 287 foot-pounds of torque. The engine featured a DME engine management system, a Lambda sensor, and catalytic converters to comply with exhaust emission requirements. The engine was mated to a modern G50 five-speed manual transmission and the clutch was hydraulically assisted. In the front were large anti-roll bars measuring 22-millimeter in diameter and 18 millimeters in the rear. To help keep the car in the driver's control, larger and thicker ventilated and cross-drilled brake rotors were fitted at all four corners.

This 1989 Type 930 Turbo is finished in 'triple black' - black paint over black seats and a black headliner. It came from the factory equipped with an electric sunroof with wind deflector, limited-slip differential, electrically adjustable driver and passenger sport seats, a Blaupunkt Reno stereo system, and a leather-wrapped sport steering wheel with a raised hub. It was sold new on June 30th of 1989 by Heimrath Porsche in Scarborough, Ontario, to Peter Woo, of North York.

Mr. Woo retained the car until 1994, by which time it had accumulated about 25,000 kilometers. The second owner and his family have since added an additional 25,000 kilometers, until the car was stored. In recent years, it has been driven rarely. Currently, the odometer reads 51,293 kilometers.

This Turbo model includes tinted glass, air conditioning, a center console, electric windows, door locking, and a security system. Other features included a leather interior with model-specific 'Turbo' carpeting and floor mats, headlamp washers, and a rear wiper. The outside rear-view mirrors are electrically controlled and heated. The front valance is fitted with a rubber spoiler that continued up to meet the front fender flares and also contained an integrated pair of fog lamps. In the back is a large rear spoiler with an upraised rubber edge covering the intercooler.
