The Morgan LIFECar (LIghtweight Fuel Efficient Car) is a fuel cell-powered electric vehicle project being undertaken by Morgan motor Company to highlight the next generation of Morgans designed for the next 100 years. The goal is to build a sports car that will be environmentally responsible and will also deliver impressive performance. Designed by Hugo Spowers of RiverSimple in the United Kingdom, the car is powered by a proton membrane exchange fuel cell. The chassis is based on the Morgan Aero 8 and makes use of electric motors powering each wheel. In order to deliver enough power to the motors, the electricity generated by the fuel cell will be stored in sophisticated capacitors. | |
