This is one of six Gran Premio Tipo B (P3) Alfas built in 1932. It features a double supercharged engine developing 215 horsepower at 5,800 rpm. The innovative drive train designed by automotive genius Vittoria Jano utilized twin drive shafts connected in a Vee configuration to the differential that mounted directly to the gearbox. The P3 has a top speed of 232 kph (about 145 mph). Driven by George Eyston, the P3s won all the Grand Prix events it ran in 1932 and 1933. | |
