Chassis Num: F7FH338049   The F-Series Thunderbird was offered only in 1957. This special option added a supercharger to the 312 cubic-inch engine and raised horsepower to 300. Other modifications, such as special heads, four-barrel carburetor, and cam distributor held in achieving this extra horsepower. The 'F-Bird' would set the buyer back an additional $500 and only 211 buyers opted for this upgrade. Around 40 exist in modern times. The 1957 Ford Thunderbird Convertible 'F-Bird' shown, finished in white paint was offered for sale at the 2006 Worldwide Group Auction held on Hilton Head Island. It was expected to fetch between $140,000-$160,000. It has had a body-off-the-frame restoration since new. The original owner purchased the car with fender skirts, additional set of Thunderbird wheels and tires, and a Town & Country radio. At the conclusion of the auction, the vehicle was left unsold.
