The number 16 Chattanooga Chew sponsored Buick was built by Banjo Mathews in November of 1998 for David Pearson's Chattanooga Chew sponsored team. The car was driven on the NASCAR circuit by Larry Pearson, the son of David Pearson. It was driven for a few years before being sold to historic stock car dealer and driver Gene Felton in 1993.

It competed in over 40 NASCAR races.
