The Shelby KR Mustangs had an attractive and functional hood scoop which helps to channel fresh air to the fuel-hungry intake passages which combine with premium fuel for a thrilling ride. Approximately 25000 examples were constructed. This example is serial number 4293 and is documented as a rare 'factory special paint' car. It is a fully restored example that is concours ready, and is fully documented, including its original build sheet and full Marti Report. This car is finished in factory yellow paint with black hood stripes. At auction this car was sold, selling for $127,500 and falling well short of the estimated value. It is a very desirable car, has a great restoration, and one of only a few built. The buyer of this vehicle got a bargain. By Daniel Vaughan | Nov 2007 | |||||||
