Due to the size of the engines (4-liter) and the limited number of vehicles produced, the 412 P racers were not eligible for races such as Le Mans. Homologation requirements stated that 25 identical cars were needed in order to qualify for racing. Due to the low numbers of P412 produced, the cars qualified for 'Prototype' classes but the 3-liter requirement in 1968 meant the cars would still be sidelined. By Daniel Vaughan | Jan 2007 |
