The 1965 Dodge Coronet 440 Two-Door Hardtop finished in Ruby red factory paint color was offered for sale at the 2006 RM Auction in Monterey, California where it was expected to sell between $45,000-$65,000. It was offered without reserve. It is equipped with a three-speed TorqueFlite automatic gearbox and a 426 cubic-inch 'Street Friendly Max Wedge' V8 engine that produces 365 horsepower. There are four-wheel drum brakes and a heavy duty suspension. It is one of the last Street Wedges built, born date was 6/25/1965. It was the ninth Street Wedge Coronet 440 built out of just 11. Only 182 of the 426 Wedge engine cars were given automatic transmissions. This vehicle has traveled less than 20,000 miles since new. 1965 Chrysler automobiles did not have to be greased for 30,000 miles, so there were plugs in suspension parts. Grease fittings would be installed at 30,000 miles. This car has the original plugs in place!

At the conclusion of the auction the vehicle had been sold for $45,100

The Street Wedge was the street friendly version of the max wedge which dominated the .quarter-mile drag strip.
