Mr. Patino toured the factory at least a dozen times in order to get everything precisely to his specifications during the construction of the car including special engine, high compression pistons, high profile camshaft, Solex carburetors, Bosch ignition distributors, special exhaust system 'Tipo Montlery' with SNAPS at the rear, and dual Heuer Chronographs fitted on the center of the dashboard. Other features include 'Royal Blue Max Meyer 16340' color, rear wings covered by 'Spats', manual windows to save weight, dual side lights for parking at night and a special dashboard with only a big rev counter. There was no speedometer as Mr. Patino did not want his wife to know at what speed they were traveling. |
