In 1957, Gordon Parker, a wealthy Englishman, commissioned Herpert Kingsbury, an engineer, to create the HK Special Jaguar, which was the realization of one man's dream to set the fastest time of the day at the Brighton Speed Trials. After succeeding at that goal, he raced the car in hill climbs, which are a passion to British sports car enthusiasts.

The last owner, a French collector, raced the car in the LeMans Speed Trials in 1971. He then retired the car and it was displayed in the LeMans Museum for some time. It was later taken out of the museum and the car had not seen the light of day until the current owner purchased it in 2001. The car was in a deplorable state, but thankfully, all in one piece, which turned out to be a blessing because it is one-of-a-kind.

This car underwent a full restoration from 2001 to 2006.

The car is powered by an XK-120 a 3.5-liter Jaguar engine with two Arnott superchargers putting out over 400 horsepower. The intake manifold is a work of art. It also features a Lucas magneto and a four-speed Wilson pre-selector gearbox and an independent front suspension, as well as a deDion independent rear suspension and Alfin drum brakes in the rear.
