The Bentley Corniche was replaced by the Bentley Continental Convertible, which later spawned the Bentley Azure. The Azure followed in the lineage of its predecessors, and was the flagship model offering gentlemanly luxury, comfort, and status. The Azure was developed by Bentley who worked closely with the legendary design studio, Pininfarina, to create an elegant, clean, and well crafted vehicle. Befitting a car of this prestige, a turbocharger 5.76-liter V8 that produced 400 horsepower and 645 horsepower was used to power the Azure. Zero-to-sixty took a mere six seconds for the 6000-pound vehicle.

The interior of this car features light high-grade leather upholstery that was a popular choice on the Azure. It is offset with walnut trim, an Alpine stereo system, and every power option available at the time. The base price was in the $340,000 range, when new.

The production numbers were exclusive, with 1,308 examples built between 1995 and 2003, with 709 making their way to the United States.

This car has traveled a mere 15,000 miles since new. It is painted in 'Antique Gold' with a camel power top and burgundy pin striping. The interior is parchment leather with walnut trim, and darker carpeting.

In 2008 this 2001 Bentley Azure was brought to the Automobiles of Amelia presented by RM Auctions where it had an estimated value of $150,000 - $200,000. Those estimates proved to be very accurate, as the lot was sold for $159,500.
