Sold for $60,500 at 2011 RM Auctions.
This 1947 Chrysler New Yorker Convertible was sold new in Montana with a base price of $2,193. It is finished in French Gray and remained with its original owner until the late 1960s. The second owner used the car sparingly for over 40 years. In the early 2000s, the car was treated to a fastidious restoration with many of the mechanical components rebuilt. It is finished in its original gray hue, and the interior was retrimmed in the correct glazed red leather with Highlander Plaid cloth inserts. There is a new burgundy convertible top, a three-speed manual transmission with Fluid Drive, and a 323.5 cubic-inch L-head engine.

In 2008, this Chrysler New Yorker was offered for sale at the Gooding & Company auction held in Pebble Beach, California. It was estimated to sell for $75,000 - $85,000 and offered without reserve. As bidding came to a close, the lot had been sold for $55,000, including buyer's premium.
