This 1991 Buick Regal #8 Winston Cup Race Car is powered by a 358 cubic-inch overhead valve V8 NASCAR engine with racing transmission. It is an ex-Rick Wilson car who is perhaps best remembered for his second-place finish at Daytona behind Bill Elliott in 1988. At the time, Wilson was driving for Morgan-McClure. He would later score two Busch series victories and was later hired by Petty Enterprises after 'The King's' retirement in 1992. He would race in NASCAR until 1997 when he retired. His career includes five top-five and 23 top-ten finishes in over 200 races.

This 1991 Winston Cup car was driven by Wilson in what would become Buick's final season in NASCAR competition. The Buick Regal was used for a decade in stock car competition. When it first entered the scene, its slick, aerodynamic shape made it a formidable contender and aided it in winning the 1981 Winston Cup in the capable hands of Darrell Waltrip.

In 1991 at Atlanta this car had its best finish with a twelfth place. It is currently finished in its proper 1991 Snickers livery and equipped with racing tires, suspension, ignition and other racing-specific safety items. After its racing career came to an end, it was used on the show circuit including a long period on display with the GM Heritage Center.

In 2009, this stock car was offered for sale at the Automobiles of Amelia Island auction presented by RM Auctions. It was expected to sell for $20,000 - $40,000. The lot was sold for a high bid of $14,300, with proceeds benefiting the Amelia Island Concours d'Elegance Foundation.
