Coupe   1965 was the first year for Carroll Shelby designed Mustang - one of just 500 produced. This example was received by Shelby American on June 13, 1965 and work was finished on June 25, 1965. The automobile was shipped on July 23, 1965, to Dick Wallas Ford, Inc. January 1965 - The 1965 GT350 debuts. February 1965 - The Shelby Mustang GT350 also wins its first race, at Green Valley, Texas. March 1965 - Production of the GT350 moves to Shelby-American Los Angeles International Airport facility after the first 250 cars are completed.
