The Austin A35 was a development of their smallest model, the A30 'Seven' otherwise known as the 'Baby.' Production of the A35 Deluxe 2-door Sedan with seating for four lasted from 1957 through 1959. It was similar in appearance to its predecessor but had tiny round and pointed parking lights located below the headlamps. Power was from BMC's larger 34 horsepower, 948cc A-Series overhead valve four-cylinder engine, which could also be found in the Morris Minor 1000. The engine was mated to a four-speed manual gearbox which was revised with better-spaced ratios, which were particularly noticeable between third and fourth gear, allowing 60 mph in third and far better acceleration and hill-climbing abilities. Fuel economy was excellent, at up to 50 mpg.

Other upgrades to the styling an enlarged radiator grille with painted slats which replaced the prior chrome finish. In the back was a larger rear window.

This two-tone silver and black Deluxe Sedan is complemented by a red leather interior. It has been treated to a complete nut-and-bolt restoration, which included a complete mechanical rebuild.

In 2011, the car was offered for sale at the St. John auction presented by RM Auctions. It was estimated to sell for $20,000 - $30,000 and offered without reserve. As bidding came to a close, the car had been sold for the sum of $33,000, including buyer's premium.
